Plot[edit | edit source]

Baccarat was concierge on the Grand Tesoro, a ship and entertainment city ruled by a cruel & powerful man named Tesoro (who can manipulate gold). When the Straw Hat Pirates arrive at Gran Tesoro Baccarat acts friendly and helpful. However, she is actually manipulating them with her power to lose everything and then to be enslaved to repay their debt. The Straw Hats fought back against the Tesoro Gild, so Tesoro transformed Baccarat with gold armor, increasing her Devil Fruit power significantly. To gain more power she stole the luck of several allied minions, causing them to perish in the process. Baccarat’s new boosted power made her extremely arrogant in battle, believing her good luck will protect her from all harm. She throws her sword away to fight Brook, Chopper, and Usopp using just her Devil Fruit ability with a coin. Baccarat taunts the straw Hats, inflicting multiple painful instances of bad luck upon them, and plans to kill them in the end. Her overconfidence led to her downfall as Usopp had secretly depleted all her luck. She did not bother to avoid Usopp’s projectile explosive attack. In bewilderment how her powers could have failed as she collapsed to the ground. She has been confirmed to survive in One Piece Stampede. In One Piece Stampede, she is seen walking around with Gedatsu at the Pirates' Expo seemingly having entered a relationship with him.
