Areola Canasta (Carole Davis) was the femme fatale assassin in the 1991 parody film If Looks Could Kill.

Story

While on a school trip to France, a young man named Michael Corben (Richard Grieco) is mistaken for a CIA agent of the same name by British Intelligence. They assign him to capture the evil Augustus Steranko, and Corben plays along, thinking it will be fun. At Steranko’s casino, the beautiful Areola Canasta (Carole Davis) makes sure she draws Corben’s attention. She is at Steranko’s side as Michael plays baccarat against him. After losing the game, Steranko tells his assassin girlfriend Areola to kill agent Corben. Areola smiles with self-assured satisfaction.

Elsewhere, Steranko's homely but cunning loyal lieutenant and top assassin Ilsa Grunt learns Steranko sent Areola to kill Corben (“you sent your slut?!”). Ilsa is fiercely jealous of Areola Canasta, her younger, more desirable, and perhaps more deadly rival. She sees an opportunity to covertly eliminate Areola, sending her own faithful henchmen Zigesfeld to kill them both.

Areola bribes a bellboy to gain entrance into Michael Corben's hotel suite and lies in wait. Corben returns to the room and is sitting on the end of a bed removing his shoes as Areola sneaks up behind him and playfully throws her arms around him. She seduces the shocked, but eager Corben (“I do not give myself the just any man”). Undressing him, she lies saying she just met Steranko that night (“He lost. I like winners”). Straddling him on the bed, Areola tells Corben to close his eyes, slyly removing a small box hidden between the mattresses. Opening the lid, a lethal scorpion crawls out and onto his thigh. A sinister Areola looks on, her kill almost complete. Assuming Areola’s fingers are inching closer to his briefs, Corben abruptly opens his eyes and jumps up "Excuse me, I'll be right back!", launching the scorpion into the air. Areola loses track of her pet scorpion as Corben darts into the bathroom to look for a condom.

Areola frantically searches on and around the bed for her scorpion, not noticing it dangling on a ledge above her. Corben still oblivious in the bathroom, locates an impenetrable container of "combat condoms". The scorpion suddenly falls into the upper back of Areola’s nightgown and she screams in terrified shock. The deadly scorpion is trapped, out of reach like an itch. Panicking, Areola stumbles backward into a stereo system, turning on loud dance music. She pulls at her gown and runs around flailing in a futile effort to remove the stinging scorpion. Michael mistakes Areola's struggle and cries for a seductive, yearning dance. He divides his time watching her and trying to open the container of condoms.

Finally, the exhausted Areola collapses onto the bed. In agony, she barely lifts herself up as scorpion venom does its work. The henchman Zigesfeld arrives at the hotel and punches a hole thru Michaels’s suite door. He peers in at Areola on the bed, and hearing her moans, assumes she’s having sex with Michael. Zigesfeld fires a handheld rocket launcher at Areola and the bedroom bursts in flames. Michael is thrown across the bathroom into the tub. Emerging, he sees Areola's necklace pendant in the ruble and takes hold of it. A pull on the chain reveals the charred skull of Areola.
