Angelique (Valentina Vargas) is the main villainess of the fourth Hellraiser film, titled Hellraiser: Bloodline. She is a seemingly immortal woman possessed by a demon summoned by a wealthy sadist to be his slave. She is named "Angelique" which is French for "angelic," as a mockery of the concept - the irony being her demonic nature.

In the late 1700s, occultist nobleman Duc De L'Isle and his assistant Jacques commissioned a toymaker Philip LeMerchand to create the Lament Configuration to use in a demonic summoning ritual. L'Isle and Jacques invite an unnamed peasant woman to their home and Jacques murders her via strangulation so that the demon can possess her body. When the ritual is complete, the woman reanimates, possessed by a demon whom L'Isle calls "Angelique." Philip witnesses the entire thing by spying on them through a window when he becomes suspicious of L'Isle's intentions. Lemerchand reports what he saw to his friend Auguste who suggests he make another box to banish the demon back to hell, meanwhile, Jacques, who is infatuated with Angelique betrays L'Isle, and orders her to murder him by mutilating him with wires and leaving him to bleed to death before having a physical tryst; apparently, because Jacques assisted during the summoning ritual, he can control Angelique as well as long as he "doesn't stand in Hell's way." Philip sneaks back into the mansion to retrieve the Lament Configuration but is stabbed to death by Angelique. Angelique, believing herself to be rid herself of anyone with the ability to reverse the ritual gloats about her victory, however unbeknownst to her, Philip's wife was pregnant, and so his bloodline continued, however each of his descendants was plagued with nightmares about Angelique.
1996[]
200 years later, Angelique's demonic presence has kept Jacques alive, and he continues to be served by Angelique. Their arrangement comes to an end when Angelique discovers that the LeMerchand bloodline has continued when Philip's descendant John Merchant is in the newspapers to receive acclaim for an architectural marvel that he has built: a skyscraper in New York that has the design of a giant Lament Configuration. It is revealed that, due to his ancestry, his design choice was subconscious. Angelique realizes that the building poses a threat to hell. She requests permission from her master Jacques to go to New York and confront Merchant, but he denies her request. Angelique then rips his heart out, as he violated their contract by "standing in Hell's way" and goes to New York anyway. Angelique stalks John and he eventually notices her standing in the crowd while he is giving a speech. He recognizes her from his nightmares, has a panic attack, and walks off stage, leaving before Angelique can confront him. Later, Angelique meets John in his office and strikes up a conversation in which he shows her his design blueprints which are based on design sketches done by his ancestor Philip, using them to work on The Elysium Configuration, which he says will be a way to create "infinite light". Unbeknownst to John, this puzzle box he is working on would also be able to close the gateway to Hell. Angelique tells John that he knows who she is, and later that night, John has a dream about making out with her.
Angelique attends the gala, dressed as a socialite, and lures Mr. Sharpe to the basement where she tricks him into opening the Lament Configuration, resulting in him being killed in a sacrifice to open the portal to Hell. Angelique expects an army of demons to emerge from the portal and aid her in world conquest, but instead, Pinhead emerges, to her annoyance. Pinhead immediately recognizes her as a princess of Hell and informs her that a lot has changed in her absence, which annoys her further. Angelique believes in the traditional ideology of corrupting humans through the temptation of pleasure, while Pinhead has a more "liberal" worship of pain and affliction. Despite their clear dislike of each other, Pinhead and Angelique form a brief alliance to kill John, before he finishes the Elysium Configuration, as a beacon of "infinite light" would close all gateways to Hell permanently.
Pinhead hides in the basement of the building, with his sidekick, a massive demonic canine, called the Chatterer beast. Pinhead and Angelique mutilate twin guards Mark and Michael Norrington into a Siamese twin-like monster when they discover his presence. Pinhead's patience wears thin waiting for Angelique's seductive techniques to work, and goes the more "brute force" route of kidnapping Merchant's family, forcing him to go back to his office which has been transformed into a chain labyrinth. John manages to save his wife and son from Pinhead, but Angelique kidnaps his son, and attempts to force Merchant to activate the Elysium Configuration to cut off any connection to Hell; she has decided she would rather live life in the more dissolute mortal world than the staunch abstemiousness that she has learned Hell now subscribes to. However, the Elysium Configuration prototype is flawed and fails. Pinhead appears and kills John, but John's wife manages to close the Lament Configuration, which sends Pinhead and Angelique back to Hell. The LeMerchand bloodline also continues through John's son, who survives the ordeal.

Angelique's new look
John and Philip's descendant Dr. Paul Merchant seals himself inside a room aboard the MINOS, a space station that he designed. He uses a remote-controlled robot to solve the Lament Configuration while armed guards break the door open. He succeeds in solving the puzzle, which causes the robot to be destroyed. The guards apprehend Paul and take him to be interrogated about his actions by the ship's captain, Rimmer. Paul explains the history of everything that happened between 1784 and 1996 to her, and further explains that the MINOS is actually a perfected Elysium Configuration, which he intends to activate it and permanently kill Pinhead and Angelique, but she does not believe him and has him locked in confinement. Pinhead arrives on board the MINOS, due to the Lament Configuration being solved and Angelique - who has now been fully converted into Hell's new sadomasochistic ideology via extreme body mutilation - accompanies him. When they learn of Paul's plan, the demons go on a murderous rampage through the ship, killing the entire crew except Paul and Rimmer. Rimmer frees Paul and the two escape the ship on an escape pod before activating the MINOS, which presumably kills Pinhead and Angelique.
