Amy was officially revealed later in the following episode, when Castle's visit to Tyson and Nieman's secluded house--during his search for Beckett--included Amy coming out. The villainess walked towards the area after hearing a noise, only to end up being encountered by an armed Castle, who demanded to know Beckett's whereabouts. Castle figured that Beckett was inside the house, but in response, the evil Amy claimed that she was the only one inside, adding that her co-conspirators wouldn't tell her until their plan was over. Castle zip-tied the villainess' hands together and placed her in the trunk of his car, with Amy warning Castle that Tyson and Nieman would kill him and Beckett if they realize she's gone. It can be assumed that Amy was arrested (off-screen) following Beckett's rescue.

Amy Barrett

The evil Amy Barrett

Amy Barrett (Laura Coover) is a hidden recurring villainess from Season Seven of Castle.

Introduction

Amy Barrett was introduced in the episode, "Resurrection," as a woman who bore a resemblance to a murdered woman named Susan Watts (also played by Coover). Susan was revealed to be murdered by Jerry Tyson, a serial killer known as the Triple Killer (or 3XK for short), but before this, Kelly Nieman--a plastic surgeon and 3XK's accomplice/lover--performed plastic surgery on Susan to make her look exactly like Amy, doing so to give Tyson another victim.

Amy's first emergence came when Richard Castle, Kate Beckett, and the rest of the NYPD saw a photo of Amy with a Nieman gift bag, and it was later in the episode that Beckett found Amy after a man named Michael Boudreau (who resembled Tyson but claimed that he had surgery to look like him) was taken into custody. Amy rudely brushed off Beckett, stating that Mike warned her about Beckett, who later gave her card to Amy and asked her to call her, and it was in the final scenes of the episode that Amy phoned Beckett in a panic, leading to Beckett leaving the precinct to meet her.

Amy Barrett Heel Turn

Amy Barrett's heel turn and attack on Kate Beckett

While Beckett was looking for Amy, she received a phone call, with Beckett only hearing the classic song, We'll Meet Again (which played in the end of Season Six's "Disciple"). Shortly afterwards, Amy turned heel and attacked Beckett; drugging her and taking her away in a wheelchair. The episode ended with Amy phoning Nieman and telling her "It's done," and it was in the following episode, "Reckoning," that Amy was revealed to be wearing a hooded disguise during her attack on Beckett.

Following Beckett's rescue, Amy was arrested (off-screen) for her role.
