Agent Stone (The Coldest Game)

Agent Stone is the main antagonist from the 2019 film "The Coldest Game". Her full name is Eleanor Stone portrayed by actress Lotte Verbeek.

Plot[]

Stone first appears entering a bar. Agent Stone approaches Joshua Mansky, a brilliant mathematician and former champion chess player. Mansky walks out before hearing a proposal from her, is followed by Agent White and pushed into the back of a car. He was called as the replacement when the one who was supposed to play it was killed. To help in the winning of the Cold War, Mansky will have to compete in a chess tournament against Alexander Gavrylov in Warsaw, Poland.

After game 1, Joshua comes to meet Stone ,just to find that he've won the game while drunk. Stone admires him after telling. Next day, Soviets hold a party. Stone is told to have a meeting with White. They want to find a trailor Gift to help them. But while others are focused on the match and Gift, Stone is the one who keeps reminding them about the mole. She cares anout her own safety.

In the second game, a hypnotist blocks Mansky's thoughts so he concedes. Agent White pursues him out of the theatre, but is stopped by the Soviets who threaten his family and pregnant wife. Gift, a Soviet officer working with the Americans, is in the audience but Agent White doesn't know what he looks like.

Then White goes to Stone's room,telling her about Gift. When failing to know more about gift from White and hearing him willing to contact with head office, Stone realizes White cannot live. She lit a cigarette with for him.

Next day ,as her wish ,White died. Then she goes to embassy with Mansky. She even cries for her victim. Stone made it clear to the professor the purpose of this chess match. In fact, she wanted to use the chess match as an opportunity to obtain information delivered as a "gift" by the Soviet traitors. This intelligence was about the deployment of Soviet missiles and nuclear warheads in Cuba. The United States wanted to know whether the Soviets had deployed nuclear warheads in Cuba or was just bluffing.

Actaully,Stone got the Soviets to kill the first player, so the Americans would fill him in with someone else. She manoeuvred the situation in such a way that the mole would have no choice but to contact Mansky, especially after White was killed. This is why she kept herself so close to Mansky.

She knew that no one, including herself, knew who Gift was, so she sent a decoy to give the cork to Mansky. The cork had fake blueprints that would mislead the Americans and cost them a nuclear war. Because she would be with Mansky all the while, she’ll know when Gift would try to approach him. This would get her to find out who he was and she could turn him over to the Soviets. What she didn’t anticipate was Gift’s presence of mind.

During the fourth game, Mansky looks to the audience often during the game, obviously distracted, speculating who might be John Gift. In a break he goes to the lobby toilets to have a drink, whereupon Gift enters his cubicle and hands him a cork. Agent Stone then follows, telling Mansky to keep it despite his offering it to her. A man in Soviet uniform comes and holds Stone's slim neck. Our poor agent wants to get rid of him,Kicking off her high heels. After the last time she sticks up her butt,her sexy legs limp.The cute Agent Stone's life ends at a toilet.
