Actrise (アクトリーセ) is a major antagonist in the 1999 Nintendo64 action platformer games "Castlevania" (悪魔城ドラキュラ黙示録) and "Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness" (悪魔城ドラキュラ黙示録外伝 LEGEND OF CORNELL).
Actrise was once a stage actress who sold her soul in order to obtain eternal beauty and life, as well as become a powerful witch. In order to uphold this agreement, she sacrificed many children, including her own daughter; a deed which she boasts remorselessly for committing. When Carrie Fernandez entered Dracula's castle, Actrise sensed her remarkable magic ability and tried to persuade her into joining the army of her dark lord. When Carrie refused, the witch sadistically pitted a member of the girl's bloodline, who had fallen and become a vampire in her own quest to defeat Dracula, against her.
Actrise and Carrie had their final encounter at the foot of the castle's Clock Tower. Though the witch was determined to "gouge out (the girl's) heart as a gift to (her) lord", she was ultimately slain.
